JumpBunch Franchise Owners - Brian & Debbie Himes

by FBR

Name: Brian & Debbie Himes

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Age: Both of us are 40.

# of Years Franchising: 4 years

Previous Occupation: Both of us are CPA’s.

Top Reason you chose your Franchise: Both of us earned our Bachelor’s Degree in Business from IUPUI and went on to earn our CPA certificate, but found the Accounting world dull and impersonal. JumpBunch® is the career we have always dreamed of! We quickly discovered that there is no more rewarding and enjoyable job than helping a child succeed.

Best part of being your own boss: Having the freedom to set your own hours.

Worst part of being your own boss: Not being able to call in sick.

Craziest/most interesting thing that has happened to you as a franchise owner: The most interesting thing that we have done was to do a television segment for the local Fox News. The craziest thing that has happened was one of our schools ask us to help sponsor and participate in their Guinness World Record attempt for the world’s largest water balloon fight (more than 25,000 balloons). They fell a little short but said another attempt will be made again next year.

Advice for prospective franchise buyers: Find something that you are good at and love to do, and the money will follow.

What was the total length of time from when you started researching franchises to when you purchased: About 1 - 1 ½ years.
