The Glass Guru franchise owners have the benefit of having operations with a relatively low fixed-cost structure, and little to no inventory requirements. Staffing is minimal, and infinitely scalable with the size of the operation, ensuring that labor costs are truly a variable cost. Franchise fees start at just $17,600, and most locations can be started with around $65,000 in liquid capital. Fixed costs like vehicles and physical locations are meant to be scaled up, and directly proportionate with the growth of the franchise location(s) over time, creating great positive cash-flow opportunities.

As we’ve grown as an organization, our in-house marketing team has evolved into it’s own department consisting of 4 full time specialists who are experts creative design and branding, budgeting and planning, digital and print marketing as well as audio and video production. Our marketing team works behind the scenes each day to help our franchise owners gain more visibility and exposure for their locations and the services we offer. As our team team has evolved, so have our strategies and materials, which have come a long way since we started
They say if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life. Do you enjoy meeting and helping people? Now imagine getting paid and building a thriving business doing just that. Many of our owners are also estimators for their The Glass Guru business (at least initially). Although we get many calls from homeowners looking to upgrade existing windows, doors, showers, etc, a good portion of our service calls relate to products that have broke or failed and need to be restored, repaired or replaced asap just to get it working again. We love being the good guy who arrives on the scene to help. Our unique, money-saving restoration services give our customers options that others can’t giving us distinction in market and helping earn livelong customers.
We believe in and promote a balanced lifestyle. While it’s flexible, it’s typical for our owners to work a standard 40 hour work week, dividing their time primarily between managing their infrastructure, doing estimates for local customers and ongoing local marketing activities. Utilizing our proven operating and marketing systems, you can scale the business to become staff operated, affording you the time and resources to have the lifestyle you want doing more of what you want to do such as hobbies, vacations, time with family or even open additional The Glass Guru franchise locations as some of our current owners have already done.
The ongoing fees are a 5% royalty on your total gross sales revenue and a 1-3% advertising fee that goes towards marketing and branding that all franchisees equally benefit from. There are no monthly minimums, meaning if you don’t make money, neither do we.
Depending on the size of your territory, we generally recommend having roughly $30K-$50K available to cover additional start-up expenses such as tooling, vehicles, office equipment, marketing, etc. It's most important that you have enough capital set aside to get through that initial startup period and into profitability where the business can sustain its own growth.
With low overhead and operational costs and the ability to start generating revenue immediately or shortly after the initial franchise training, it's typical for our owners to turn cash-flow positive in the first 30-90 days in the business, although some have accomplished this even faster. Many of our new owners are getting their first calls and lining up appointments in their first week back from training.
Our franchisees come from all walks of life and work experience with only a handful having any experience in the glass or window industry. No previous trade experience is required but previous business or marketing experience is helpful. The most important qualities to bring to the table are being coachable and your ability to follow and stick to our proven systems.
