Father and Son Chose Franchising With Office Pride Over Going Out on Their Own

Zack and Albert Conord, Office Pride

Originally Zack Conord and his father AT were going to open their own commercial cleaning business. After coming across Office Pride Commercial Cleaning Services they decided to pursue the franchising route instead by opening a location in Fredericksburg, VA in 2016. Zack explains why below.

Why did you invest in Office Pride?
Franchising was the last thing my father, who I own the business with, and I were looking for. We wanted to start our own commercial cleaning company and found Office Pride when researching local competition. The strong core values and proven and established business model are what drew us in. We felt that this was a company that resembled our own beliefs. We have always felt supported.

What do you like most about your career?
Exceeding customer expectations is a great motivator, but it’s also extremely rewarding to provide our employees with a career where they feel valued. We’re all very close and have each other’s best interests at heart

What experience did you have prior to becoming a franchisee that helps you run your business?
My father’s experience as a colonel aviator in the Marines and mine in maintenance management prepared us to work with and help a variety of people.

How did you fund your franchise?
We received a 10% veteran’s discount because of my father’s military career and utilized Office Pride’s financing options to fund the rest.
