Glory Gallucci, Rock Star Franchise Owner, Any Lab Test Now

Glory Gallucci has been a franchise owner with Any Lab Test Now since 2008. After spending much of her career in Corporate America, she decided to take the reigns and own a business herself. While she says being a franchise owner is a job that requires a great attention to detail, she feels she was provided the support needed to excel in the field. This year, Glory was named as an FBR Franchisee Rock Star!

“Glory is a fair franchise owner.  She is upfront and candid with sharing any concerns or problems, but comes to the table with possible solutions.  She is a respected brand ambassador, from the customer experience she exemplifies in her store, to her involvement in the Golden Triangle community and as a news resource when needed.” – Terri McCulloch, VP Business Development, Any Lab Test Now

What advice do you have for someone considering investing in a franchise?

For a first-time franchise owner, it is important to do extensive research. Go visit local franchises and talk to not only the successful franchisees, but also the ones that have closed. Find out what they see as challenges and what has made them successful. Also, make sure you have what it takes to be an entrepreneur. Although a franchise gives you an opportunity to buy into a more proven system of success, it is not a guarantee if you are not willing to put everything you have into making it successful.

What are you most proud of when it comes to your career in franchising?

I was fortunate to be able to buy into Any Lab Test Now when it first started franchising. This gave me the opportunity to provide input into some of the early programs and development as we grew. I was a member of our Franchise Advisory Board for several years which provided a great experience in understanding the big picture of operating a franchise.

What was your career path before you entered franchising?

With an MBA in business, I spent the first part of my career in various corporate positions with both large and small companies. I think having business acumen is a strong contributor to running a successful franchise.

As a business owner, what has been the biggest challenge you’ve had to overcome?

One of the benefits of having your own business is the ability to be your own boss and make decisions for yourself. However, it can be all-consuming. Don’t be afraid to ask for help or hire professionals in those areas that you do not have expertise.

What do you like most about your franchise organization?

The Any Lab Test Now franchise organization is readily accessible for help and support. While they protect and promote the brand, they do so with the individual franchisees in mind, realizing that we all don’t fit in the exact same mold.
